Founded in 1908, Lancaster Country Day School is an independent, college-preparatory school where about 600 students from preschool to 12th-grade receive an unparalleled education and are part of a warm and welcoming community.
Set on 26 acres in the serene School Lane Hills neighborhood, Country Day stands surrounded by its playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts and beautiful learning gardens. Students come from five neighboring counties, as well as from countries including China, Italy, Scotland and South Africa.
Lancaster Country Day students participate actively in the cultural life of the city that’s home to their school, and Lancaster city affords LCDS students a wealth of opportunities for creative expression, historic investigation and enjoying the simple community and charm that seems to flourish so naturally in America’s smaller, Colonial-era cities.
